I know there closed and I'm sad but I truly loved there ramen ! Mannnn !!! What happen I need answers

First time here. Loved the broth and the texture of the noodles. I recommend. I'm a noodle foodie and would come again. I had the spicy clear both ramen and it was delicious. The only comment is they the two eggs were a colder temperature than the hot broth and I didn't like that--though easily remedied by dunking the eggs for a minute into the hot soup with my spoon.

It's one of many shops in an Emeryville public market and you sit in the common area. It's a self-order and they call your number and also text you when it's ready. My food did not take long to come out. I ordered the spicy ramen and the broth was actually really good! It's a bit salty though but I like it. Portion was a bit small and very little grounded pork. And noodles were a bit hard. But I still think it was good overall. Only thing I hate was a worker in a shop across from Shiba Ramen. He always yelled the order number really loud and it could be really annoying.

7/29/23 This Japanese ramen restaurant's in a very large food court, and for a food court kinda place, it was remarkably good! I remember the broth was very flavorful, but not overwhelming, with good thickness and texture, just the right amount of creaminess. The eggs were marinated and cooked perfectly soft, with an ooey gooey dark orange center. And BEST of all... their chashu was perfection! Sure the fat parts were great, but very few places are able to get the lean parts so tender yet remaining juicy. Perfect. Not sure why their current rating of a flat 3 stars is so low, but our bowl was better than 90% of more popular brick and mortar restaurants'. 5/5 #emeryville #japaneseramen #ramen #mariantedegg #chashu

I got ramen from Shiba for the second time today! It was my spouse's first time. Last time, I got the "dry" ramen and I was PLEASED! I added pork to it. Today was rainy and cold so I really wanted something hot and the "spicy" (tan tan) REALLY DID IT FOR ME! It comes with ground pork and a jammy egg but I omitted it since I'm actually allergic to chicken eggs now Spouse got the clear soup spicy version. I didn't ask how much he liked his it wasn't the best move because he's not feeling well and didn't want anything too spicy and the level was a bit hot for him today. My gyoza was soooo cold but I think it's because I was tending to my toddler. I remember really liking it last time. My soup was DELICIOUS. The bok choy was perfect. My noodles stuck a little together in a clump but again I'm not sure if it's because my food was waiting there too long or what. You get a text when your food is ready but you should stick around because they'll call your order number out, too. That's faster. I don't think my spouse heard them. I like that you can specifics whether you're dining in or taking your food to go. There's also an option to keep the noodles and soup separate or not. We sat at one of the tall communal tables right in front and they were projecting the World Cup game on a big screen. It was a really pleasant experience: When ordering, there's menus laminated right at the counter and you can use the touch screen. It got a little busy when we ordered so someone came to also take orders while I was fumbling on the screen! You can actually edit out toppings and the person working was really nice to walk me through that. I wouldn't have known how to look for it otherwise. I'll absolutely be going again. Truly hit the spot both times. Only not giving it 5 stars because it's not THE BEST ramen (but it's damn good).

I was really satisfied with the soy milk based Ramen. The eggs were also perfect and the pumpkin or squash slices on the vegetarian Ramen was uniquely delicious. I did not feel like I was compromising by choosing the vegetarian option because it was very flavorful

Located in Emeryville Public Market Parking: there is a parking lot and street parking available, we have not had any issues finding parking the handful of times we've gone. Dishes: Tried their clear dark broth ramen with chicken and added an extra egg (it comes with 1 egg) and tofu. Disclosure: I'm not a ramen expert and not super picky about my ramen. The ramen bowl was more bean sprouts than ramen noodles and we took out about half of the bean sprouts and still had a ton of bean sprouts in the bowl. I would ask for less bean sprouts if possible. The broth we chose was pretty good, the eggs were good but they aren't the super marinated eggs you can sometimes get at other ramen restaurants. The tofu was a good texture but rather tasteless. The chicken was fine but not a ton of it in the bowl. Will definitely go again and try to ask for less bean sprouts. Service: It is self service and the food came out pretty quickly. Since we "dined in" it was put all together in one plastic bowl and they provide one use plastic soup spoons (in the times of COVID). Ambiance: It's in the Market Place and it can be lively at times depending on who is around but it's all very casually. It's not the best ramen I've ever had but it's good ramen that is conveniently located in the Public Market.
